John's Weekly Travel Update July 8, 2022
I am writing to you from beautiful Canada! As part of my family "road-trip" - we are touring our neighbor to the North. We have enjoyed Niagara Falls (it's touristy, but fun for a couple of days) and are spending the week in Montreal. Next week: Quebec City! I'm still working - so here are a few fun updates this week!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Coming to Disney Parks in Late 2024
Strike up the band because there's a seat for everyone on this musical journey with Tiana and friends! The name of the new attraction evolving from the reimagining of Splash Mountain was announced during ESSENCE Fest in New Orleans: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The all-new adventure which will bring guests into the world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film “The Princess and the Frog” like never before is coming to Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland park in California in late 2024.
Walt Disney Imagineers have been frequent travelers to Louisiana while conducting extensive research to ensure Tiana’s Bayou Adventure preserves the heart and soul of the city that inspired Princess Tiana’s story. From exploring the French Market and the bayou, to consulting with academics, chefs, musicians and cultural institutions, Imagineers have received inspiration from all over the region and learned from local experts along the way.
First announced in 2020, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take guests on a musical adventure inspired by the beloved story and characters from the fan-favorite film. Picking up where the film left off, guests will join Princess Tiana, Naveen and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure through the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras celebration where everyone is welcome. Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou to original music inspired by songs from the film as they are brought into the next chapter of Tiana’s story.
Change is never easy - right? But Splash Mountain will continue to live on in this new (and very exciting) update!
Disney Wish Cabins Are AMAZING
The brand-new Disney Wish has set sail in Florida and the reviews are in: it's a smash hit!
Take a look at some of these beautiful cabins: they are stunning!
This Concierge-level cabin is fashioned after "Tangled" - and I think anyone who loves Rapunzel and Eugene would agree that they are drop-dead gorgeous!
And of course - check out the curtain to divide the room, so parents aren't stuck in "hotel jail" when it's time for the kids bedtime!
This oceanview stateroom has a GIANT porthole window to watch the world pass by as you enjoy the generous size of these cabins. Most cabins also feature the "split" bathrooms - a sink and toilet in one side and sink and tub in the other. No more fighting over space!
Cruise Deal Worth Checking Out!
In all of my years of helping people plan vacations: I don't think I've seen so many amazing deals in the cruise industry.
I understand the concern: you need to be vaccinated and there is a chance you could catch COVID - but cruise lines are going above and beyond to make sure cruising is safe. The ships still aren't full - and that means DEALS. I just helped a family lock in a cruise - the AIRFARE was more than the cruise!
Take a look at Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's latest offer: Kids Sail Free PLUS 30% off every guest PLUS an additonal $100 onboard credit (use that to go on an excursion!). There are some restrictions - so contact me today for details.
This isn't the ONLY "deal" in the cruise industry - I have found a cruise this fall under $800 for two adults! Crazy low!
That's it for this week - short and sweet! Ready to plan your next vacation? CLICK HERE and let's get started!
