John's Travel Update October 28, 2022

Happy (early) Halloween! I'm going to tell you a little secret: my kids are dressing up as Hermoine from "Harry Potter" and my son is a "Ship Captain" (can you tell we've done a few cruises this year and read the Harry Potter books?). Don't tell them I told you! Head over to my Facebook page to check out their costumes on Monday! Until then - here are some fun updates:

Disney News Round-Up!

Festival Of The Arts To Return!

The EPCOT International Festival Of The Arts now has "official dates"! From January 13 to February 20, 2023 this fantastic festival will have plenty to see and do (and eat!). This is the shortest festival (compared to Food & Wine which lasts for months) so if you're interested in going - drop me a line so we can lock in some dates!

Blizzard Beach Reopenning

This water park has been closed for refurbishment and is reopening just in time for the holidays with some really great updates! Most notably: they've added some "Frozen" touches to the park! Don't miss Olaf and his snowgie pals! So adorable!

There will be additional holiday treats and drinks too! I've been at this park with my kids and we had a BLAST! John's Pro Tip: The "ski lift" line can get long. If you can handle the hike on the stairs (you need to work off those calories from the treats!) - take that route unless the queue is small.

ICON of The Seas - WHOA!

It won’t be in service until January 2024, but Royal Caribbean International’s new Icon of the Seas is off to a record-breaking start! Fresh off the heels of revealing the first look at Icon of the Seas, Royal Caribbean saw its single largest booking day in its 53-year history when reservations opened for the cruise line’s first Icon Class ship.

Icon first made headlines on Thursday, Oct. 20, when the cruise line unveiled the new ship as the vacation industry’s first-of-its-kind combination of the best of every vacation. From the beach retreat to the resort escape and the theme park adventure, with Icon, every kind of family and adventurer can experience their version of the ultimate family vacation.

This ship isn't for everyone - it's BIG. And there is no shortage of things to do!

It doesn't start sailing until 2024 but bookings are BRISK and some sailings are almost sold out! Email me at john@travelprojohn.com and let's chat about options!

John put together an 8-day trip to New York City. My wife Robyn and I had a fantastic time while in NYC. Following prior trips to San Francisco, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, Paris, and Seattle, this was our first time using a travel agent. The service provided by TravelProJohn was first-rate from start to finish. John worked within our budget and our accommodations in NYC was centrally located and quite nice. We had peace of mind knowing that if we had any problems while traveling, we simply had to contact John who we were confident would make things right. Our needs for this trip were basic: airline and hotel reservations. Had we needed additional services such as tickets for excursions…
