Amazing news if you're thinking of heading to Walt Disney World this Spring and Summer!
Between Feb. 25, 2022 – Aug. 7, 2022, the following attractions will be added to Disney Genie+ service*:
Magic Kingdom Park: Space Mountain
EPCOT: Frozen Ever After
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
During this time period, these attractions will not be available for purchase a la carte and this will help to give you more options as they prepare for a busy spring and summer season!
Immersive Details for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser
One of the most remarkable moments during a Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser voyage will be the dining experience. Dining onboard the Halcyon starcruiser engages all five of the senses, not just the taste buds! Here are more details!
Taste
The chefs on the Halcyon starcuiser come from the far corners of the galaxy! Whether it’s the Bantha Beef, Tip Yip Chicken, or the Seared Kashyyyk Whitefish, this is an intergalactic tour de force of familiar tastes with new and unexpected textures.
Sight
The Crown of Corellia Dining Room onboard the starcruiser is a feast for the eyes. Dining beneath three large circular, multi-layered chandeliers, a dazzling lighting display will be visible throughout the supper club. The lights go full-on concert mode when Gaya, the galactic superstar from the planet Ryloth, performs her biggest hits during the first night’s dinner. Then the next night the lighting changes colors to evoke the aesthetics of each course during a “Taste Around the Galaxy.”
Sound
The Twi’lek singer, Gaya, glides effortlessly past the tables as her powerful voice fills every nook and cranny of the room. Tip: If Guests listen closely, though, they may learn more about the galaxy – and why Gaya is on this ship to begin with.
Smell
Every meal brings its own tantalizing aroma that will have your mouth watering before you even take your first bite!
Touch
The Sublight Lounge offers great nightcap options after a fantastic dinner. Try the Hoth Ice Breaker (pictured)! These drinks hit on multiple senses with exotic flavors and photo-worthy looks. But one thing that really sets them apart is the glassware. It’s a small detail, but so important when creating an immersive experience that makes you feel like you’ve traveled to another galaxy!
Disneyland News!
On April 22, 2022, the “Main Street Electrical Parade” and “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular will return to Disneyland Park, and “World of Color” will return to Disney California Adventure Park!
“Fantasmic!” is preparing for its return to Disneyland park on May 28, 2022.
In honor of the parade’s 50th anniversary, this nighttime spectacular will return with an all-new, enchanted grand finale that celebrates the theme of togetherness!
As the new grand finale passes by, guests along each side of the parade route will see a different set of stylized scenes from classic and contemporary favorite stories such as “Encanto,” “The Jungle Book,” “Raya and the Last Dragon,” “Aladdin,” “Coco,” “Mulan,” “Brave,” “The Princess and the Frog” and more.
These new additions mean it's the PERFECT time to visit Disneyland in beautiful California!
Iceland Drops COVID Restrictions
MAJOR UPDATE: Iceland will lift all remaining COVID-19 restrictions effective today, including a 200-person indoor gathering limit and restricted opening hours for bars.
What does that mean? No more racing around for a negative COVID test prior to travel. Keep in mind you will still need to present a negative test to re-enter the United States (testing sites are everywhere).
The "Land Of Fire & Ice" is truly breathtaking - during my own visit I was able to hike to a volcano and then stand under a waterfall!
