A visit to Walt Disney World is full of amazing sights, sounds and smells! There’s music and singing and magic everywhere you turn!
What if it just get a little TOO “magical”?
Luckily, each of the four Disney parks have areas where you can “escape” and get away from all the hub-bub.
Now, I’m not saying these areas are incredibly PRIVATE - but they’re more quiet than if you were standing in front of Cinderella’s Castle!
Magic Kingdom Park
There are two areas I have taken my kiddos when things get a little too noisy and busy:
The entrance to the bathrooms by Pinocchio’s Village Haus restaurant nestled in the back of Fantasyland. There are benches to sit and the music seems to be a little less loud here.
Tomorrowland Terrace. This restaurant is mostly closed and currently is used as a “face mask relief area” where you can remove your mask. It’s located on the edge of Tomorrowland and borders Main Street by the Plaza Restaurant.
EPCOT
There is a wonderful QUIET area at the restroom behind the Imagination Pavilion (you will find the Figment ride inside). There is a bench back there at the entrances to the restroom and is mostly shaded. It’s remote and rarely visited!
United Kingdom Pavilion maze. Located within the cobblestone streets of the United Kingdom Pavilion you will find a garden maze with plenty of benches. The kids can run around and you can rest and enjoy a beverage!
Disney's Animal Kingdom
On Discovery Island visit Flame Tree BBQ. The food is great PLUS behind the restaurant there are plenty of seats - but follow the winding path and you’ll find waterfront seats that often have availability with fans in the covered pavilion!
Rivers of Light Arena. This amphitheater isn’t in use now due to COVID restrictions. However, it’s open and you are more than welcome to sit and rest (the entrance is opposite “Expedition Everest”). The only negative is there is no shade so this quiet area is best when it’s the cooler months.
Disney's Hollywood Studios
Exit area of Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. This area is tucked just to the left past the Prime Time Diner. It doesn’t have a ton of seating (benches come and go) but it’s incredibly quiet.
Star Wars Launch Bay Restroom area. Tucked in a corner in Animation Courtyard - just pass The Little Mermaid theater and you’ll find a nice quiet area to rest with a half wall you can rest your sore feet!
My personal mantra is “rest where you want” and ALWAYS stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water (most counter service restaurants will have free cups of water)!
Next week I’ll be chatting about the “DAS” and what does it mean - and do you need it?
Have a wonderful week!
John
